    FreeFileSync — backup/copy utility (GNU OpenSource)
    CherryTree — Hierarchical note taking application. (GNU OpenSource)
    Jubler — Subtitle editor (cost-free, but I don’t think it’s open source)
    Freemind — Mind mapping software (GNU OpenSource)

  3. You forgot Compiz settings manager. I’m still using it because it’s the most amazing thing out there if you can get it working. I somehow managed to get it working on Gallium OS.
