10 Best Online Calculators for Solving Basic and Advanced Problems

The ancestor of modern calculators, the Abacus (Latin for “board“) was a grooved board with movable counting labels made up of bones or stones. It reportedly dates back to 3000 BC in ancient Babylon until when it appeared again in 5th century Greece.

Fast forward to the 21st century and we don’t only have calculators that fit in small computers but advanced ones that don’t require users to have them installed on their machine.

  1. Only one of the solutions listed had the ability to set the display places and that one didn’t have the ability to paste values in. I’ll keep looking for an online solution that will let me paste values in, do operations and get solutions to two places (ie simple monetary calculations) and then cut the solution and paste into another app.

  2. It was surprising to me how many of the online calculator solutions don’t have the ability to paste a value. Seems to defeat a lot of the utility of an online solution.
