Not that many people are users of Microsoft’s Bing search engine, but we can’t deny that one thing the engine gets right is its daily featured images. This extension is for wallpaper lovers who enjoy having a different desktop background every day – Bing Wallpaper Changer.
Bing Wallpaper Changer is a GNOME extension that automatically changes your desktop wallpaper to Bing’s featured image of the day every day. It does this without you needing to install any scripts or setup any jobs whatsoever. The only requirement is to be running the GNOME Shell 3 and later.
It was inspired by Bing Desktop WallpaperChanger created by Utkarsh Gupta and extensively based on the NASA APOD extension created by Elinvention.

Bing Wallpaper Changer is the first attempt at a GNOME extension so it might have some issues. You are always at liberty to report issues or help eradicate them.

The only downside one might have with this extension is the “Bing” watermark that the images have. Maybe it wouldn’t be an issue for you.
How often do you like your wallpaper to change? My desktop is set to change my wallpaper every 30 minutes but it sets the pictures from a designated folder. I guess I’m waiting for the extension that will automatically set my wallpapers from Unsplash.
