Use Oranchelo Icons Flat to Beautify Your Linux Desktop

Oranchelo Icon Flat is a hybrid icon set follows the latest design trends and can arguably go head to head in an eye candy contest with the awesome Numix Icons.

It was created by Patryk Goworowski and it is another icon theme we bring you today to beautify your desktop with.

Take a look at the flat icon set on my Unity 7 Desktop with the Flat-Plat theme:

Installing Oranchelo Icon Flat in Linux

This is easy on Ubuntu and Linux Mint:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oranchelo/oranchelo-icon-theme
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install oranchelo-icon-theme

If you aren’t one to use the CLI you can use the equivalent .deb for 14.04 Trusty Tahr or 16.04 Xenial Xerus.

For Arch Linux

You can install Oranchelo from AUR:

$ yaourt oranchelo-icon-theme-git

Fedora Linux

You can download and install Oranchelo .rpm package for Fedora 24/25.

$ sudo rpm -Uvh https://github.com/OrancheloTeam/oranchelo-icon-theme/releases/download/v0.7.4/oranchelo-icon-theme-0.7.4-1.fc24.noarch.rpm

--------- On Fedora 25 --------- 
$ sudo rpm -Uvh https://github.com/OrancheloTeam/oranchelo-icon-theme/releases/download/v0.7.4/oranchelo-icon-theme-0.7.4-1.fc25.noarch.rpm

Source Installation for Other Linux Distros

First clone the Oranchelo repository and install it traditionally:

$ git clone https://github.com/OrancheloTeam/oranchelo-icon-theme.git
$ cd oranchelo-icon-theme/
$ ./oranchelo-installer.sh

Uninstall Oranchelo Icons in Linux?

No worries. Just uninstall it from the Software Center or remove the PPA yourself in Ubuntu based distros using:

$ sudo apt-get remove oranchelo-icon-theme
$ sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:oranchelo/oranchelo-icon-theme

If you’ve installed using .deb or .rpm, you can remove it using your package manager.
